Established in 2011, Jackyards wanted to create a unique seat cover specifically designed to fit the VW Transporter range. Something stylish and different that took the task of protecting your seat totally seriously. So we came up with the Jackyards range.  Bespoke seat covers with piped seams, robust threads and marine zip detail for easy fitting and removal, tailor-made to fit and fully washable  so they protect your original seating whilst at the same time enhancing the interior of your van.

Handmade here in Poole, Dorset, each cover is unique to your van  making it a fantastic gift or hard working accessory.  We cover all the seats in the VW Transporter range:  the Ocean, California SE, Beach, Caravelle, T6, T5 and T4s. We can also make covers for generic seats and Rock ‘n’ Roll beds not in the standard VW range, price on request.

They are easy to order in our shop: find your seat set and then choose from hundreds of different colour combinations from the JACKYARDS product colour chooser. You can see how your set will look before you buy!  (Standard prices are for two colours plus black or white piping).

The Product

JY50aWe did our research and asked  families with children and dogs, kitesurfers, windsurfers, cyclists and even popped down to the local yacht clubs to find out what was important in a cover for the everyday life of a VW van. And the fabric that we found that covers all your needs was a durable canvas acrylic, the same material that is used for boat covers and sails. Luckily it comes in a huge range of colours too!  Check out our testimonials page to see what our customers think after testing them to the max! Here are some of the plus points of using acrylic canvas:

The Material
  • Unsurpassable colour stability
  • High resistance to sunlight and atmospheric conditions
  • Maximum efficiency against putrefying agents
  • Maximum resistance to tearing due to stretchingsewing2
  • Maximum resistance to atmospheric pollution

  • Water resistant
  • Use for boat covers, canopies, sprayhoods, biminis, awnings etc.
  • Tightly woven

About me

aboutme1I’ve always had a passion for the VW T4 and T5, and have bought and sold quite a few over the last 12yrs and having two young boys we use ours a lot for camping, days out and generally as a garage on wheels. However, I found I was always using blankets to protect my seats and realised there was a huge gap in the market for nice looking stylish seat covers.  I have tried many different makes of covers over the years which either looked horrid and saggy or just didn’t last long. So I experimented with a variety of materials and made countless different patterns to see which looked the best and which material had the durability and water resistant qualities that I needed to protect my seats – and being a girl I also needed them to look fab too.  I sourced an amazing material available in a huge selection of colours which surpassed any other material in terms of durability: it’s great to sit on, water just brushes off and it doesn’t fade;  in fact it’s pretty much indestructible and the pattern I designed is split into two parts which means the covers actually fit!! (Plus if they do get dirty you can just throw them in the washing machine on a 40 degrees wash, just make sure you use liquid not powder.) I have had nothing but great feedback since we started and we just get busier and busier every year. So now after demand we have moved to the realms of the internet to make it that bit easier to order them.
